michael Coleman

Private client specialist and consultant solicitor, Michael Coleman, joins us from the Lewes Smith team, having been part of Lewes Smith since June 2013. Bringing lots of experience in private client work, including Wills, Probate, Administration of Estates, Disputed Wills and Estates, Powers of Attorney, and general litigation, Michael has handled every private client scenario there is. Based in Steyning, West Sussex, Michael has a strong following of clients from his local village right across Sussex.

Michael’s legal career began in Brighton in 1976 and from the early 1990s he worked alongside Clive Smith during their time together at DMH Stallard, where they also collaborated on property disputes involving boundaries and rights of way. With decades of expertise, Michael offers clients clear, practical advice and guidance through a variety of legal matters, with a focus on delivering thorough, thoughtful service every step of the way.

Known for his commitment to ensuring his clients receive the best possible outcomes, Michael prides himself on his dedication to detail and a compassionate approach, which makes him a trusted advisor for families and individuals dealing with sensitive personal matters.

Outside of his consultancy work, Michael is an avid tennis player, enjoying regular games when he’s not helping his clients navigate difficult legal matters.
