Commercial Property

I am a solicitor in the Commercial Property team, based in the Brighton office. I joined Bate & Albon Solicitors in December 2022.

I qualified as a solicitor in 2004 after completing the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme in 2003. I gained experience in the fields of Residential Conveyancing and Wills and Probate with firms in Hove and Haywards Heath before returning back to South Africa in 2007.

Whilst in South Africa I specialised in residential and commercial property developments including the corporate finance associated with these developments. I had a general conveyancing practice dealing with private residential conveyancing transactions and also handled wills and probate matters.

I returned to the UK in 2017 handling mainly residential conveyancing transactions and then returned my focus to commercial property transactions.

I am admitted as an Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary in South Africa.

I Act for both landlords and tenants in relation to:

Leases and Underleases
Assignment of Leases
Licences to Occupy, Licences to Underlet and Licences for Alterations
Surrender of Leases

I also act for both sellers and buyers in relation to the sale and purchase of commercial mixed use properties.

Other than spending time with my husband and our animals, in my spare time I enjoy time outdoors in nature, reading fiction novels, skiing, scuba diving and exploring new places.
